Youth-Led Action, Street by Street

At Kibra Youth Network we believe real change happens when a community moves together. Community Action Drives are youth-led responses to urgent local problems — blocked drains and rubbish-choked lanes, unsafe spaces, families going without — and they build leadership, teamwork and ownership in the young people who organise them.

Clean-Up & Green Projects

We organise clean-up drives, tree planting and waste awareness campaigns that make our lanes healthier and greener. The work improves shared spaces, but it also teaches young people about sustainability and gives them real ownership of where they live.

Youth-Led Community Dialogues

Open-air forums give young people a safe place to raise what matters to them: education, safety, drugs and mental health. Bringing youth, elders and local leaders into the same conversation builds understanding across generations and turns opinions into agreed action.

Solidarity & Volunteer Programs

From food drives to mentorship sessions and back-to-school support, our solidarity programmes mobilise youth volunteers to stand with vulnerable families and children. Helping others builds empathy and responsibility, and it strengthens the ties that hold Kibera together.
